US 119567 NQF Level 1 5 Credits
This course develops the theoretical knowledge and practical first aid skills needed to respond effectively to medical emergencies. Training includes emergency scene management, patient assessment, CPR, AED awareness, burns, fractures, wounds, bleeding, shock, unconsciousness and practical first aid evaluation.
Liderazgo is accredited with the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA) under accreditation number TETA13-327. The current accreditation scope includes Unit Standard 119567 - Perform Basic Life Support and First Aid Procedures, at NQF Level 1 for 5 credits.
The current TETA accreditation extension is valid from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028, subject to the lifespan of the unit standard and legislative changes.
First aid training prepares learners to take immediate action during a medical emergency and provide appropriate support until professional emergency services take over. The course combines theoretical learning with practical demonstrations and evaluations.
Demonstrating essential first aid skills
Learners must achieve 80% and above for theoretical assessments.
Learners must achieve 100% for practical assessments.
All learners are provided with a CPR mouthpiece to take home, a First Aid Training Manual and a certificate on completion of the course.
