This programme equips drivers with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to reduce driving risk, avoid collisions and maintain safety in changing road and traffic conditions. Training combines classroom theory with practical in-cab assessment.
Liderazgo is accredited with the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA) under accreditation number TETA13-327. The current accreditation scope includes Unit Standard 377201 - Apply Advanced Driving Skills: Defensive Driving, at NQF Level 5 for 6 credits.
The current TETA accreditation extension is valid from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028, subject to the lifespan of the unit standard and legislative changes.
The programme incorporates vehicle-operation content associated with the following unit standards, all of which are included in Liderazgo's current TETA scope:
Visual learning reinforces key defensive-driving and safety concepts.
Learners must achieve 80% and above for theoretical assessments.
Learners must achieve 100% for practical assessments.
All learners are provided with a Defensive Driving Training Manual and a certificate on completion of the course.
